The Annual Meeting is a time for members of the National Human Services Assembly (NHSA) to gather and network with each other and the NHSA staff and Board of Directors to further the sector. Standard annual meeting business includes a presentation of the financials and voting on continuing or incoming directors.

This year, the meeting keynote will be Sheila Johnson, an American businesswoman, co-founder of BET, CEO of Salamander Hotels and Resorts, the first African-American woman to attain a net worth of at least one billion dollars, and was instrumental in establishing The Sheila C. Johnson Center for Human Services at the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. The day will also include a presentation from NHSA CEO Lee Sherman on the organization's strategic direction and financials. Additionally, NHSA will be celebrating it's outgoing Board Chair, Jatrice Martel Gaiter (Volunteers of America), and welcoming a new Board Chair, Susan Danish (Association of Junior Leagues International).
