Member Updates

Greetings NHSA Members,

As we head into the fall season, I am happy to provide you some key updates.

There’s exciting news about our National Reframing Initiative – an effort to build public understanding of human services and encourage more vibrant civic participation and support for effective programs.

The full report on this multi-year research initiative and online toolkit will be published later this month. Then, on November 10, we will hold a webinar to discuss the new frame and direct you to the online tools and resources for activating it in your work.

Starting in mid-November, we will host alongside the FrameWorks Institute a series of in-person trainings for select “champions” from our membership organizations and other human services leaders.

There’s lots more to come, including tips on adapting the new frame. If you haven’t already, please consider signing up for Reframing Network e-mail updates and alerts.

Peer Councils and Networking

Last week, the Assembly launched our fall series of peer council meetings and networking. Events are open to all members, but each is crafted for specific organizational roles.

Here is the upcoming schedule through the end of the year:

  • National Collaboration for Families: November 3
  • National Collaboration for Youth: November 12
  • Learning and Development Council: November 18
  • Volunteer Development Council: December 8

I hope you and your colleagues are able to join us and take advantage of these membership offerings before the end of the year!
